Review: Listen, Do You Want to Know a Secret by Teresa Trent

Synopis:

Everyone has a secret, and in 1964, Dot Morgan’s new job at KDUD Radio is filled with them. Her boss, Holden Ramsey, is a terrible flirt, but he’s also engaged to a beautiful socialite. When Dot finds out he’s hiding involvements with other women, these secrets lead to a grisly murder. Can Dot figure out who is murdering the women in Holden’s life before she finds herself next on the hit parade?

My Review:

This third book in Teresa Trent’s Swinging Sixties Mystery Series, Listen, Do You Want to Know a Secret, again brings an intriguing mystery to readers. This time, Dot Morgan takes on the receptionist job at the KDUD Radio station. Her womanizer boss, Holden, complicates her life, and her boyfriend, Ben, is more interested in his career than their relationship. Everyone has a secret, including her cousin, mother, and the KDUD evening DJ. Yes, there is murder and rumors of past indiscretions, plus Dot’s awakening to social injustice. Trent does a tremendous job of bringing the challenges of 1964 onto the page in this historical mystery—a fun read for anyone who loves a cozy.
