I am not that Terry

Starting is hard. It seems that nothing is obvious to the uninformed, and you can throw me into that category. One of the many items to consider when birthing a blog is the blog name. I put a lot of thought into my selection, Terry Is Writing, before I stepped into the role of blogger, things like consistency. My Twitter handle @TerryIsWriting and my Facebook author page TerryIsWriting were working. Why not use the same format? It seemed like a no-brainer. Alas, if you try to find my blog by asking your Alexa or Google, you will find Terry Pratchett. Let me set your mind at ease—I am not that Terry.

According to Wikipedia, “Sir Terence David John Pratchett OBE (28 April 1948 – 12 March 2015) was an English humorist, satirist, and author of fantasy novels, especially comical works.” I wish I were that Terry. I am the American author of Gone Astray, a traditional mystery, coming soon from The Wild Rose Press, Inc., and the memoir Omaha to Ogallala, 2019, S&H Publishing, Inc.

“The whole of life is just like watching a film. Only it’s as though you always get in ten minutes after the big picture has started, and no one will tell you the plot, so you have to work it out all yourself from the clues.” ~Terry Pratchett
